Directions

  1. Season your pork chops in salt and pepper, and other herbs and spices of choice :) Set aside.
  2. Half and thinly slice onions and cored apples. I leave the skin on, used red delicious.
  3. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and ground ginger in a bowl.
  4. Layer half of onions and apples on the bottom of a lightly greased pan, (I use a 9X13 tin foil pan).
  5. Sprinkle with some of the brown sugar mixture.
  6. Arrange pork chops in a single layer on top.
  7. Layer the other half of onions and apples on top of pork chops.
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar mixture on top of everything.
  9. Cover pan in plastic wrap and then cover with aluminum foil, tightly.
  10. Bake at 325 for 2.5 hours -- less if you are using boneless or fast fry. Mine were thin, regular pork chops.
  11. I used the drippings for gravy using a pork gravy pkg, and served with roasted cauliflower and carrots.
