Elaine's Mother's Brisket

This is a recipe that a former co-worker gave me. It makes a very rich and moist brisket. The horseradish and mustard cut some of the richness and adds some needed "tang".Prep time is marinade time. Show more

Directions

  1. Combine marinade ingredients and pour in to a large plastic zip lock bag.
  2. Add meat.
  3. Place bag in refrigerator for 24 hours.
  4. Remove meat from marinade.
  5. Sprinkle generously with salt.
  6. Bake at 300 degrees, covered for 2 hours.
  7. Remove meat from pan.
  8. Slice meat against the grain.
  9. Return to pan for 1 more hour.
