Easy Spicy Szechuan Noodles

Works well with any type of ground meat. Sauce can be doubled if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1  lb  ground meat
  • 1 12 cups  chopped onions
  • 2  teaspoons  minced garlic
  • 1 12 teaspoons  minced ginger
  • 1  teaspoon dry crushed red pepper (to taste)
  • 2  tablespoons  sesame oil
  • 2  tablespoons cornstarch
  • 34 cup broth (use beef or chicken, depending on the ground meat)
  • 13 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2  tablespoons soy sauce
  • 8  ounces  thin spaghetti
  • 12 cup  sliced green onion

Directions

  1. Brown meat in a large skillet. Drain and set aside.
  2. Add  sesame oil to skillet. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and red pepper until tender.
  3. Whisk together broth and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Add broth mixture, hoisin sauce, and soy sauce to the onion mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for one minute.
  5. Add ground meat and coat with sauce.
  6. Toss meat mixture with cooked pasta and sprinkle with green onions.
