Easy Skillet Hamburger Goulash

I love this recipe for ease of preparation, and it can be made in one pan. You don't have to cook the macaroni seperately. I always deviate from the recipe somewhat, by putting more cheese on the top. Usually, parmesan,then chedder, and finally mozzerella. But the choice is yours. Show more

Ingredients

  • 2  tablespoons  vegetable oil
  • 1 12 lbs ground beef
  • 2  medium onions, chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1 (12 ounce) can corn, with liquid
  • 1  cup elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 1  tablespoon chili powder
  • 2  teaspoons  garlic salt
  • 4  ounces  shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a 12 inch skillet, over medium high heat, cook ground beef in vegetable oil, until browned, and broken up. drain, if necessary. Add onions,1 (28oz) can of tomatoes,with their liquid, 1 (12oz can) corn, with it's liquid, and seasonings. Add uncooked macaroni, and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to med-low, cover, and let simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until macaroni is cooked. Sprinkle with the cheese, (may use any combination of cheese you like) cover for approximately another 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
