Easy Praline Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 (26 ounce)  store-bought frozen pumpkin pie
  • 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
  • 13 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2  tablespoons  whipping cream
  • 13 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 12 teaspoon  maple extract

Directions

  1. Bake pumpkin pie according to package directions (will vary by brand); remove from oven while making the topping.
  2. Reduce oven to 350°F.
  3. Melt butter in small saucepan over med-high heat.
  4. Stir in brown sugar and cream.
  5. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove mixture from heat and add nuts and extract.
  7. Pour mixture over hot pumpkin pie.
  8. Bake 5 to 7 min or until topping begins to bubble.
  9. Let cool; store in airtight container.
