Yields: 4-6 bowls of soup

Ingredients

  • 4 -5  potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  cream of celery soup
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  cream of chicken soup
  • 1 14 cups water
  • 4 23 cups milk
  • 1 (6 5/8ounce) package  instant potato flakes
  •  cheddar cheese, shredded, for garnish
  •  green onion, sliced, for garnish
  •  bacon, crumbled, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine potatoes, soups and water in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on high setting until potatoes are tender, about 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Stir in milk; add potato flakes to desired consistency, stirring constantly.
  4. Cover and cook on high setting an additional 2 to 3 hours longer.
  5. Spoon into bowls to serve; top with garnishes.
