Easy Icing

This is a good icing for cut out cookies. For variety you can try lemon, almond or peppermint flavoring.

• Yields: 24 cookies

Ingredients

• 1  cup  sifted powdered sugar
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla or 1⁄2 teaspoon  other  flavoring
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons  cream or 1 1⁄2 tablespoons half-and-half

Directions

1. Blend sugar, salt and flavoring.
2. Add cream to make easy to spread.
3. If desired, tint with a few drops of food coloring.
4. Spread on cookies with small knife or spatula.
