These are easy, tasty little buggers, sure to please both kids and adults alike. You can also use diced, mixed candied fruits instead of the raisins. I always use walnuts for the chopped nuts. YUM!!! Show more

  1. In mixing bowl, beat margarine or butter with electric mixer for 30 seconds.
  2. Add half of flour, brown sugar, egg, milk, vanilla, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Beat in remaining flour.
  4. Stir in raisins and nuts.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake in 375 degree oven about 10 minutes, until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Cool cookies on rack.
