Easy Crazy Cake

This is a wonderful recipe received from a friend several years ago and it is always a hit at family gatherings. Warning: it is full of calories, but worth every fattening bite.

• Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

• 1 (18 ounce) package  white cake mix with pudding or 1 (18 ounce) package  yellow cake mix with pudding
• 1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 3  eggs
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  cup  chopped pecans or 1  cup  nuts, of your choice

Directions

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 baking dish.
3. Beat together butter and 1 egg until smooth.
4. Mix in dry cake mix just until crumbly.
5. Pat mixture down in pan and sprinkle with nuts.
6. Beat together cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, powered sugar, and vanilla and pour over mixture already in pan.
7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until lightly browned.
