Easy Chili Skillet Bake

Chili with a baked on crust.

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans  chili with beans
  • 12 cup Bisquick
  • 14 cup milk
  • 1  egg, beaten
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cheddar cheese, shredded, divided

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray a 10 inch ovenproof skillet with cooking spray.
  3. Heat chili in skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it simmers. Remove from heat and let stand.
  4. Stir Bisquick, milk and egg together until blended.
  5. Spoon batter in ring around outer edge of chili.
  6. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese over batter.
  7. Bake about 20 minutes or until crust is a golden brown and knife inserted into center comes out clean.
  8. Immediately sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over center.
  9. Let stand about 5 minutes.
