Easy Butterscotch Yams

Ingredients

  • 6  medium  yams, cooked not to mushy stage, peeled and sliced (or quartered)
  • 12 cup  light Karo syrup or 12 cup  Dark Karo syrup
  • 12 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 14 cup heavy cream or 14 cup half-and-half cream
  • 2  tablespoons butter
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Arrange cooked and chopped yams in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  4. Stirring constantly, boil 5 minutes.
  5. Pour over the cooked yams.
  6. Bake 25-30 minutes, basting occasionally, until glazed.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
