Easy Avocado Wreath

This is a very cute holiday idea, but I must confess I didn't make the wreath because I was more interested in eating it (my nickname is Runs with Scissors). I secretly envy the foodies who make cool designs and art out of food, but I lack the patience or desire to do it myself. The photo in the cookbook caught my attention to try the recipe, but I'll have to rely on your wreath photos. Recipe courtesy of Home Cooking The Costco Way. Show more

  1. Rinse avocados. Cut each avocado in half. Spoon out pits.
  2. Spoon out the avocado flesh into a large resealable plastic bag.
  3. Add lemon or lime juice and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Squeeze to press out the air.
  5. Seal the bag.
  6. Mash the bag with your hands until the avocado is smooth but still has a few chunks.
  7. With scissors, snip just the corner off one end of the bag.
  8. Pipe the avocado mixture into a wreath shape on a large serving plate.
  9. Garnish with chopped bell pepper.
