Easy Au Jus

I found this on the Mama Loves Food blog. It's an Au Jus that you can make without pan drippings. Straining is optional; we found that we like the onions and garlic left in the au jus. We love this with our french dips! Show more

Serves: 10

Yields: 2 1/2 cups

Directions

  1. Caramelize the onions in the olive oil.
  2. Add garlic and cook for a minute or two.
  3. Deglaze the pot with white wine, then add Worcestershire sauce and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add beef broth and bring to a light boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  5. Strain broth, if desired, and return to pot.
  6. Add flour and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
