Easy 2-Ingredient Flatbread

This recipe is a quick way to make some tender flatbread at home. Use it to make a homemade pita sandwich, to make a pizza, serve it with Indian food, or eat it on its own with some of your favourite dips. It's a real winner! Show more

  1. Mix ingredients into a sticky dough (if you don't have self rising flour, use 3 cups of flour, 3 3/4 tsp of baking powder, and 3/4 tsp of salt).
  2. Wrap in saran wrap and let it rest for 20 minutes on the counter.
  3. Cut the dough into 7-8 equal pieces. On a well-floured board, roll out each piece of dough until it is just a few millimeters (1/8 inch) thick.
  4. Heat a cast iron pan on medium heat, with enough oil to lightly coat the bottom.
  5. Fry each side of bread for 2 minutes in the hot pan, until you see golden spots forming.
  6. You will need to add extra oil in the pan before adding a new piece of dough.
  7. Serve hot.
