Yields: 1 large loaf
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup warm milk
- 1⁄2 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1⁄4 lemon, zest of, grated
- 1 teaspoon fresh orange juice
- 1⁄4 orange, zest of, grated
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 whole egg yolk
- 1⁄2 cup room temp. butter
- 1⁄3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon anise seed
Directions
- Mix according to your manufactures instructions.
- Adding the anise seeds after first kneading and signal.
- Add flour if needed or drop of milk if needed upon mixture, to form a nice soft ball of dough.
- Place on sweet bread setting dark crust.
