Easier Caramel Brownies

Ingredients
- 20 ounces brownie mix (i use ghiradelli double chocolate)
- 1⁄3 cup oil
- 1 egg
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 7 ounces Kraft caramels
- 3 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1 cup pecans (or walnuts)
Directions
- Mix brownie mix according to package (the oil, egg and water was what mine called for) adding nuts.
- spread half into a greased 9x9 square pan.
- bake at 325 for 20 minutes.
- meanwhile, melt caramels over med-low heat with evaporated milk until smooth.
- pour over partially baked brownie, spread remaining batter over it and bake 30 more minutes or until done.
- cool 30 minutes and refrigerate 1 hour.
- serve at room temp.
- great with ice cream!
