Dump-It Cake

This is an easy, moist cake. It's a little bit heavier than most cakes, and slices well after cooling. Great for lunchboxes.

Ingredients

• 2 1⁄2 cups flour
• 2  cups sugar
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
• 3⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice
• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 1⁄2 cup water
• 1 1⁄2 cups chunky applesauce
• 2  eggs
• 1 1⁄2 cups raisins

Directions

1. Dump everything in a big bowl.
2. Beat the batter well.
3. Grease a large tube pan and pour the batter in.
4. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours.
5. If you want a little topping, put a doily on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
6. Then remove the doily.
