Drunk Beef Stew With Tomatoes and Dry Fruits

Ingredients

  • 2  lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 12 cup flour, seasoned with
  •  salt and pepper
  • 3  tablespoons  oil
  • 1  large onion, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 12  ounces dark beer
  • 2  cups beef broth
  •  diced tomato
  • 2  carrots, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 6  potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 8  ounces  dried fruits (apricots, raisins, etc)
  •  sea  salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Toss meat with seasoned flour to coat all sides.
  2. Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large heavy bottomed saucepan or Dutch oven and brown meat.
  3. Work in small batches so that the meat is not crowded and browns well on all sides.
  4. Remove meat and cook onion briefly in pan.
  5. Add browned meat, beer, stock and tomatoes to a slow cooker.
  6. Cook for 6-10 hours.
