Yields: 1 9x13 cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) package  French vanilla cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) package  white cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) package  yellow cake mix
  • 3  eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 13 cup  oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1 (4 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed

Directions

  1. Prepare and bake cake according to pkg.
  2. directions, using 9x13 inches.

  4. Meanwhile, prepare pudding according to pkg.
  5. directions.
  6. When cake is done, remove from oven and poke several large holes in cake (I use the end of a wooden spoon).
  7. Spread pudding on top.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over top of pudding.
  10. Spread cool whip over top of pie filling.
  11. Refrigerate until serving.
