Donna's Caramel Corn

Yields: 1 cup
Ingredients
- 4 quarts popped corn (about 2 microwave bags)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup margarine, melted
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄4 cup white Karo
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
Directions
- In a heavy pan, combine sugar, margarine, butter and karo syrup.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring.
- Stir in baking soda. This will cause a foaming effect.
- Pour over popped corn. Stir until corn is well covered.
- Spread on a prepared surface and let cool.
- Break apart and store in an airtight container.
