Dishwasher Soap

This is a very handy, economical way to make your own detergent for the dishwasher. It really works and you don't have that overpowering bleachy smell in your kitchen from using the store-bought dishwasher detergents.You absolutely do not have to worry about this sudsing up in your dishwasher. It is also handy for when you have baked on messes on cookie sheets or pots. Throw a tablespoon in with some soaking water and the mess comes up great. Yields: 16 loads

Ingredients

  • 1  cup  borax, natural laundry booster
  • 1  cup  arm and hammer super  washing soda (not baking soda!)

Directions

  1. Mix well - Borax with washing soda in a reusable container.
  2. Use 2 tablespoons of powder for each load of dishes in your dishwasher.
