Diner Meatloaf

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs 80% lean ground beef
- 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg, light beaten
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon oregano
- 1 (5 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 slices mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine all ingredients except tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Mix lightly.
- In a 10x6-inch loaf pan, shape loaf.
- Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Drain excess fat.
- Pour tomato sauce over loaf during last 1/2 hour of baking time.
- Place mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake 5 to 10 minutes more.
