Different Tea Punch

This punch is really good for large gatherings as each batch will serve 50. It tastes a lot different from the standard tea punch, and is a lovely deep color. Be sure to strain your juices so the punch retains its clarity. I hope you have a big enough punch bowl! Show more

  1. Bring 8 cups (2 quarts) freshly drawn cold water to a full rolling boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat.
  2. Immediately add the tea bags and brew for 4--5 minutes.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients EXCEPT SODA in a very large container or bowl, making sure to strain the citrus juices for any pulp.
  4. Stir the tea and add it to the bowl of juice mixture.
  5. Just before serving, pour tea/juice mixture into a punch bowl over an ice ring or ice cubes. Add ginger ale/soda and stir to mix.
