Diabetic Bar-b-q Sauce

Yields: 1 1/3 cups
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (I use brown sugar substitute.)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1⁄8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon red pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes on low heat.
- Best if allowed to sit in the refrigerator overnight.
- Can be used immediately after preparing.
