Delice Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients
Crust
- 1⁄2-1 cup butter or 1⁄2-1 cup margarine
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon orange zest or 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon, zest of
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons flour
Filling
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon orange zest or 1 teaspoon lemon, zest of
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons very hot water
- 1⁄4 cup sliced almonds
Directions
- Mix crust ingredients and press into a 9x9" or 7x11" ungreased pan.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and lower oven heat to 300 degrees.
- Beat Cream cheese, gradually adding sugar.
- Add remaining filling ingredients and beat well.
- Pour over baked crust.
- Return to oven and bake 1 hour at 300 degrees.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle sliced almonds evenly over top.
- Mix icing ingredients and drizzle over top of hot bars.
- Cool and chill before cutting.
- Store in refrigerator.
