Decorated Spice Cookies

These cookies are a Christmas tradition in my household. I look forward to making them every year! I love the old-fashioned flavor. I saw a bunch of spice cookies on Zaar, but none quite like this. Cook time is if you bake about a dozen cookies at a time.

• Yields: 96 2inch cookies

Ingredients

• 3  cups flour
• 2  teaspoons ginger
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1  teaspoon clove
• 1  cup margarine
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄2 cup  karo dark corn syrup

Directions

1. Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
2. Mix margarine and sugar until fluffy; stir in Karo syrup.
3. Add dry ingredients.
4. DO NOT CHILL DOUGH!
5. Roll out 1/8” thick on floured surface.
6. Cut into shapes.
7. Place on baking sheet.
8. Bake in 350 degree F oven about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
9. Cool and decorate.
