Darlene's Lasagna

This is the best lasagna recipe in the WORLD (because it is a lazy man's recipe for an otherwise hard to make dish). I came up with this when my girls were young. They and DH both loved it, so am still making it this way! Show more

  1. Cook lasagna noodles as directed on box.
  2. In a Dutch oven, brown and scramble the ground beef and Italian sausage.
  3. Salt and pepper the meat after draining.
  4. Add the spaghetti sauce and cook till hot.
  5. Set meat mixture aside.
  6. Stir the beaten eggs and ricotta and cottage cheeses together.
  7. In at least a 9x13 or (larger pan) make a layer of noodles first.
  8. Then layer 1/2 of the meat sauce.
  9. Then 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.
  10. Then repeat the noodles, meat sauce, and cottage and ricotta cheese mixture.
  11. Then top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  12. Bake uncovered, at 350°F for 45 minutes or until cheese brown slightly.
  13. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into 8 squares to serve.
