Dan's Favorite Quick and Easy Homemade Salsa

Fresh salsa that puts the bottled versions to shame. The fresher the ingredients the better the Salsa. The heat can be adjusted to taste by adding or subtracting peppers. Show more

Yields: 2-3 cups of salsa

Ingredients

  • 6 -8  medium tomatoes, blanched, peeled and diced
  • 2  jalapenos, roasted, peeled and chopped
  • 1  poblano pepper, roasted, peeled and chopped
  • 1  small bell pepper, roasted, peeled and chopped
  • 5  garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1  large onion, finely chopped
  • 1  bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 12 lime, juice of
  • 1 -2  tablespoon  balsamic vinegar (depending on your personal taste)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl with a tight fitting cover.
  2. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips.
