there are many variations of this drink. flavor this base with the fruit of your choice but the lime is essential. Originally from Havana's La Florida restaurant -- I had one there!

Ingredients

• 1 1⁄2-2  ounces light rum
• 1⁄2 lime, juice of
• 1  dash  sugar syrup or 1  teaspoon powdered sugar
• 1  dash maraschino juice (optional)

Directions

1. Mix with ice in a blender.
2. Serve in dressy champagne-like glass with a straw.
