Custard Sauce for Almendrado

Yields: 1 cup
Ingredients
- 5 egg yolks
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Mix yolks, sugar, milk and salt in pot and cook over medium heat. Stirring till thick and coats a spoon.
- Cool a couple minutes add extract and chill.
- Cover and chill for up to 24 hours.
