Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 3⁄4 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream shortening. Add the sugar gradually.
- Add beaten eggs.
- Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt tegether.
- Add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
- Add vanilla and mix well.
- Pour into greased cup cake pans.
- Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F.) 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven (or until golden brown).
- Cool.
- Cover tops with frosting.
