Crustless Pear Pie

Ingredients
- 4 cups pears, peeled, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons almonds, chopped
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup cold butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the pears, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg; toss to coat. Transfer to a 9-inch pie plated coated with cooking spray, sprinkle with almonds.
- In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top.
- Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes or unitl golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack. Store in refrigerator.
