Crockette Smothered Steak

Crockette cooker of 1 - 1.5 qt capacity. Easy steak main dish.

Ingredients

  • 12 lb  round steaks (3/4-inch thick) or 12 lb  swiss steak (3/4-inch thick)
  •  salt and pepper
  • 1  small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Cut round steak in half and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place onion slices in crock-ette.
  3. Place meat on top of onion.
  4. Pour tomato sauce over all.
  5. Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours.
