Crockette Smothered Steak

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb round steaks (3/4-inch thick) or 1⁄2 lb swiss steak (3/4-inch thick)
- salt and pepper
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
Directions
- Cut round steak in half and season with salt and pepper.
- Place onion slices in crock-ette.
- Place meat on top of onion.
- Pour tomato sauce over all.
- Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours.
