Crock Pot " Cheeseburgers " (Slow Cooker)

**MODIFIED - I doubled the amount of ground beef when making this for a party. I can see why Shelby Jo said that the cheese would have been overpowering with the original recipe! It was just right with the 2 pounds.** This is actually called 'All-American Cheeseburgers' from Gooseberry Patch's "Super-Fast Slow Cooking Cookbook". I didn't want you to think that you are making actual cheeseburgers, so I changed the name for Zaar. I see no reason why you couldn't use low fat ingredients. Enjoy! Show more

Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

  • 2  lbs ground beef, browned and drained (used to be 1 pound)
  • 3  tablespoons catsup
  • 2  teaspoons mustard
  • 2  cups Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 10  hamburger buns or 20  mini  hamburger buns, split

Directions

  1. Place ground beef in a slow cooker; add catsup and mustard, mixing well. Top with cubed cheese.
  2. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Stir beef mixture gently; spoon onto buns.
