Crock Pot Apple Butter

This is the way my mom makes apple butter.

Ready In: 8 hrs 5 mins

Yields: 8-10 pints

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a crock pot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  3. Remove lid and continue cooking until excess liquid cooks away. This will take another 2-4 hours.
  4. Seal mixture in hot jars and process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes.
  5. Makes approximately 8-10 pints.
