Creamy Herbed Pork Chops.

This is very good nice week day main course. It is easy to double.

Serves: 2-4

Ingredients

  • 4  pork chops
  • 2  teaspoons butter
  • 2  teaspoons  vegetable oil
  • 2  small onions, chopped
  • 2  garlic cloves, minced
  • 1  tablespoon flour
  • 1 12 cups milk
  • 1  tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1  tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
  •  salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Brown chops.
  2. Reduce heat & cover.
  3. Cook for 15 Minutes.
  4. Remove to platter.
  5. Pour off excess fat.
  6. Add butter & oil.
  7. Saute onion and garlic 2- 3 minutes
  8. Add flour cook a minute or two.
  9. Add milk, cook and stir till thickened.
  10. Add herbs, nutmeg, salt & pepper.
  11. Pour over pork chops.
