Cream Cheese Mints

This is my Mother's recipe. They are refreshing, simple and easy to make.

Ready In: 20 mins

Yields: 1 Batch

Ingredients

  • 8  ounces cream cheese
  • 2  lbs powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoon butter
  • 14 teaspoon  mint extract (peppermint, wintergreen or the mint of your choice!!!)

Directions

  1. Cream butter and cream cheese with extract.
  2. Slowly add powdered sugar.
  3. If it gets too heavy, knead in remaining sugar.
  4. Mold or form into logs, roll in sugar. Slice into minty good coins. Be sure to sugar the sliced ends.
  5. I refrigerate the logs and slice as needed.
  6. OR wrap the log in pretty way and give as a gift with instruction to slice as needed.
  7. The logs freeze well.
  8. Enjoy.
