Cream Cheese Cookies

  1. With an electric mixer, beat butter and 3 ounces cream cheese until creamy.
  2. Slowly add sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time.
  4. Beat after each egg into butter mixture.
  5. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  6. Add to butter mixture and blend in well with electric mixture.
  7. Now, stir in vanila and pecans.
  8. Cover mixing bowl with plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
  9. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  10. Remove dough from refrigerator.
  11. With a Tablespoon, cut into dough and drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
  12. Drop unto cookie sheet two inches apart.
  13. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  14. Cool cookies on cookie sheet for a few minutes and then remove to a wire cooling rack.
  15. Beat 1/4 cup of softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  16. With a Tablespoon, slowly drizzle glaze over cookies.
  17. Let stand 1 hour or until glaze is set.
