Cream Cheese Cookies

I found this in my mom's recipes. I remember them as a child and am so glad I found this. They were wonderful! Show more

Serves: 60

Yields: 60 Cookies

Ingredients

  • 14 cup butter (softened) or 14 cup margarine (softened)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1  egg
  • 14 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (18 1/2ounce) package  devil's food cake mix

Directions

  1. Cream butter and cheese.
  2. Blend in egg and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add dry cake mix, 1/3 of mix at a time, mixing well after each addition. If using mixer, add lat 1/3 of cake mix by hand.
  4. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oven to 350.
  6. Drop by small teaspoonfulls onto ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown.
  8. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
