Cream Cheese Apple Pie

Yummy! taste just like an apple cheesecake but a lot easier.

Serves: 4-6

Yields: 1 pie

Ingredients

  • 1  unbaked  deep dish pie shell
  • 8  ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1  egg
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4  cups apples, coarsely diced
  • 14 cup  ground almonds
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a large bowl,mix cream cheese and 1/4 cup of sugar.
  2. Add egg and vanilla. Mix until creamy.
  3. Add apples.
  4. Pour into pie shell.
  5. Sprinkle with almond powder.
  6. In a bowl, mix the rest of the sugar (1/4 cup) with cinnamon.
  7. Sprinkle over pie.
  8. Cook 10 minutes at 450°F.
  9. Lower temperature at 400° and cook for another 25 minutes.
