Cranberry Sauce the British Way

Ingredients
- 2 (9 ounce) packages fresh cranberries
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1⁄2 inch piece of peeled ginger
Directions
- Rinse cranberries and sort.
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the cinnamon stick and ginger.
- Pour into bowl and serve at room temperature or chill before serving.
