Cranberry-Orange Relish

  1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, stir together 1/3 cup cold water with cranberries, sugar, and orange peel. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium-high and simmer, uncovered, until cranberries pop and mixture begins to thicken, about 8-12 minutes. Cool completely. Stir in orange chunks. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Stir in pecans.
