Cranberry Bourbon Sorbet, the Trellis, Williamsburg

Yields: 2 quarts
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons Bourbon
- 1 lb cranberries
Directions
- In a saucepan bring the water and sugar up to a boil.
- Allow this to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cranberries and the bourbon and simmer until the berries pop open.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- When cool, press the mixture through a fine sieve.
- Refrigerate until cold, then freeze.
