Crab Roll-Ups

We live on the coast and net our own crabs every year. This recipe is simple and gets the kids involved. Side note: we boil our crabs in a crab boil so I do not use the cayenne or black pepper. Show more

Ingredients

  • 34 cup  crabmeat (fresh or canned)
  • 3  ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1  tablespoon chives
  • 8  ounces  crescent rolls
  • 1  egg white
  • 1  teaspoon cayenne or 1  teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Spray cookie sheet with vegetable oil.
  3. Mix together first 3 ingredient plus optional ingredients if you choose.
  4. Remove crescent rolls from can and divide in half.
  5. Roll out two sections and pinch perferations together.
  6. Cut into 8 pieces each section.
  7. Spoon 1 teaspoons crab mixture in center of dough. Bring one side of dough over crab meat and then put egg wash on it. Fold other side on top. The egg wash helps secure the dough.
