Country Sausage

My grandfather was known for making sausage very similar to this recipe. It is much better than what you buy in the stores. The cook time is really the grinding time. Show more

Yields: 15 pounds

Ingredients

  • 15  lbs pork, cut up (or any meat)
  • 4  tablespoons salt
  • 3  tablespoons sage
  • 4  tablespoons  red peppers
  • 1  tablespoon black pepper
  • 3  tablespoons  hot sauce, optional

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients really well and then grind in a sausage grinder.
