Country Peppers

Yields: 6 stuffed peppers
Ingredients
- 6 medium green peppers
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage, ground beef or 1 lb pork sausage
- 1⁄4 cup chopped onion
- 1 1⁄2 cups cooked rice
- 8 ounces cheez whiz processed cheese spread
- 1⁄2 cup chopped tomato
Directions
- Remove tops and seeds from peppers. Parboil 5 minutes; drain. Brown pork sausage; drain. Add onion; cook until tender. Stir in rice, 3/4 cup process cheese spread and tomatoes; fill peppers.
- Place in baking dish; cover. Bake at 350, 40 minutes. Top with remaining process cheese spread.
