Corque Burger

Every friday we get together after swimming and have Croque-Monsieur with ketchup / mayo / pickles. (grilled ham and cheese sandwich). When it was my turn I wanted to try something different and decided to make a croque style hamburger which was exceptionally wel recieved and we have been making 'em since. Show more

Directions

  1. Spread on mm thick layer of beef on a sandwich slice.
  2. Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
  3. Add a slice of cheese.
  4. Add some onion rings.
  5. Add the top sandwich slice.
  6. Spread a little butter on the outsides of the sandwich and grill to taste, preferably in a panini grill.
  7. You can even leave the center a little rare.
  8. These grilled sandwiches are great when dipped in pepper sauce but i guess other sauces will be good too. Many variations are possible.
