Cornflake Crinkles

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 cups cornflakes cereal
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Combine butter and sugar; beat until smooth and creamy.
- Combine flour, cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture.
- Add vanilla; beat until smooth and well blended.
- Gently fold in cornflakes and nuts so as not to crush cereal.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 300° for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
