Cornbread Pie

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 (17 ounce) can creamed corn
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 4 eggs
- 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, drained, seeded, and chopped
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in corn, cheese, chilies, and cornmeal. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and stir into batter. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour mixture into greased 13X9 inch banking pan and bake for 1 hour, until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve hot.
