Cornbread (Bread Machine)

Use eggs right from the refrigerator--no need to warm them. Serve this bread hot from the machine.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 pound loaf

• 1  egg
• 1⁄4 cup skim milk powder
• 1 1⁄4 teaspoons salt
• 2  tablespoons  vegetable oil
• 1  tablespoon liquid honey
• 2 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour or 2 3⁄4 cups bread flour
• 1⁄3 cup cornmeal
• 1 1⁄4 teaspoons bread machine yeast or 1 1⁄4 teaspoons instant yeast

Directions

1. Add enough water to the egg to equal 1 1/4 cups (300 ml).
2. Measure ingredients into bread machine baking pan in order recommended by manufacturer.
3. Insert baking pan into oven chamber.
4. Select Basic Cycle.
